Just as we got Inazuma with its very different islands I expect Sumeru to have those contradicting areas too, from desert to rainforest. From Egypt through Persia and India.
1. Desert with Oasises, hopefully actual game mechanic that is going to make us run into nowhere until we find a way through the illusions. Seelies to help!

2. Underground labyrinth - that is alsmost certain, we get undergrouns ruins and puzzles from the ancient civilizations, but I wish it goes real labyrinth. Or this:
3. Dehydratation mechanics similar to Dragonspines freezing, where we'd have to reach water in the desert but we'd be lured by mirages.
4. Quicksand - like the swirls we have around the island, quicksands to dicover and they'd take us underground.
