[Genshin Impact Theory] The Archons/The Dendro Archon

Who'd fit to be the Dendro Archon and the other unrevealt yet Archons as well?

 

This version or Raiden Mei which Raiden Shogun is based of has the lighter purple markers in her hair unlike the other versions. Same can be seen in some of the official art for Welt Yang. This connection is clear with Wendy and Venti. But not with the upcoming archons even tho I think that they too will be based on design previously used by MHY. However they also make the versions feel like unique characters too.

The hot speculations are about the identity of the Dendro Archon since Sumeru is the next region we get on the game, even if it won't happen too soon and still have so much to research before that. But it is probably no coincidence that Mobius was released on Honkai exactly now to trigger our theories and expectations.

Before Mobius all the speculations were put over SU, one of the pioners who carried Fire Moth's projects in attempt to save what was beyond saving. Despite the many connotations I'd argue that SU might be related to the game in different way. SU's character is built around the hinduistic aesthetics and his name SU reffers to light from Sanskrit (suraj meaning sun, su meaning light) therefore if he is somehow related to Genshin's story he'd rather appear there with background different than being an Archon. It doesn't exclude him being the old Dendro Archon and the Mobius version to appear as the current one. In Ei's story we saw that the Archon cannot be just anybody, they are immortal beings and such as Ei was Makato's shadow, Kusanali might have been on the old Dendro archon side the whole time and also withnessed his death. Or could be reincarnation of him or everything as of now. If i'd speculate I'd suggest that Mobius was the old archon, eager for knowledge and experiments. And he/she was fascinated with Khaenri'ah's development to the point of no return and the curse also reached him/her there. Hopefully MHY is going to take a note after the second part of the Archon quest in Inazuma and will have the time to put the story pieces for Sumeru better.

As of now Mobius is the most likely to be represented with a version in Genshin as the dendro archon. Her design in Honkai however is just too much related to all the symbols all around Teyvat and this is too why I think she'd be the previous archon. As with Ei and Scaramouche tho, we could as well see two versions of Mobius for example too.

We did not see any of the MANTIS as an archon by now and I don't really see any of them behing the rest of the archons that have nnot been revealt to us by now. 

dr. MEI is not Raiden Mei or the Shogun, Sakura is not Yae Sakura or Yae Miko. Fu Hua, Kevin and Su are the ones who remained connected to the story and Otto Appocalypse. Each of them could be used as a concept in Genshin tho, but not as an Archon. And then who from Honkai could fit the concept of the dendro archon? I don't think that MHY are going to change the pattern of creating the archons with the same light markers in their hair. However if Kusanali is second archon she could not have these markers. With Ei and Makoto it was explained with the twins story but with dendro it is going to be more complex all depending of if the first dendro archon is still alive.

Wendy, Mei and Himeko are part of Schicksal and i'd assume there is pattern of the archons being based on Valkirja along with Seele in the future and Bronya as the hydro and cryo archons. Welt Yang doesn't fit this model tho. Arguably Himeko too, since Murata is a character who also appears in the previous era in Honkai as Captain Himeko. Who was also a herscher. But neither Su or Mobius fit that pattern, I am not sure if any character does and therefore I'd not be surprised if we see completely new character for the dendro archon.

So I dug into Houkai Gakuen 2/Gun GirlZ, the games that predecessor Honkai Impact 3rd and where many of teh characters originate from and I found this kawaii thing:

Yssring Leavtruth is responsible for the research of Anti-Entropy science and technology. A genius who is proficient in various fields at a young age and is known as the "Star of the Century".

I don't even wonder if even Mobius was inspired by this certain character.

Jyahnar is also worth checking since her design is related to Sumeru's theme. 

But the character who caught my attention is Delta for all the obvious reasons:

The Valkyrie surviving from the Houkai area, relying on the corpses of the Houkai creatures for food, formed a physique that look like a Houkai beast, and became the first experimental subject to be reopened in the Artificial Herrscher project. After fusion with the Queen's gene, Flora believes that Delta has surpassed humans, and even surpassed the Herrscher, and became a life close to a "God".

However these is something very interesting about Mobius that keeps her a very much the most possible choice for the dendro archon, because It'd fit the details about Kusanali and the God of wisdom as of now:

Her child-like appearance is the side effect of becoming a MANTIS: with each death, her body will regress in age, with her memory fading as well as the result.

The situation with the Hydro archon is a bit clrearer to me. We know that the original hydro archon was also replaced by the god of Justice and the purity of the water as element and ideal was makeshift into a judging court. This is the aestetic of Seele and Veliona transfered almost literally into Genshin, therefore I ecpect the hydro archon to be based on her and even to have this split personalities or two souls sharing the same body.

The pyro archon has been connected to Murata directly since the very beginning of Genshin and its comic. Murata Himeko is a character who is used in different story lines inside the honkai universe already and we pretty much know what to expect here. However the sotry around Natlan is still far and vague to speculate about any possible twists around it, but the pyro archon design is solid as of now.

The Tsaritsa herself is a mystery in Genshin and there could be quite few candidates for her image. I'd like to see Bronya as the cryo archon personally.
Bronya's character version is now into the post honkai oddysey and in the Honkai Starrail, so she is .. everywhere and in each version from Honkai through post oddysey to starrail her models go to a transformation that feels like it'd naturally lead to her being the Tsaritsa of Genshin too (10 years from now? Haha). If it someone else Idek... I quit haha
